Foreign Agricultural Resource Management Services is non-profit, federally incorporated in 1987 to facilitate and coordinate the processing of requests for foreign seasonal agricultural workers. Authorized by Human Resources Skills Development Canada, F.A.R.M.S. performs an administrative role to the Caribbean and Mexican Seasonal Agricultural Workers Program.
F.A.R.M.S. is a private sector run organization, governed by a Board of Directors, appointed from those commodity groups participating in the program.
LMIA Applications for Seasonal Agricultural Workers that have NOT yet been submitted for workers to arrive in the months of August and September must be received at F.A.R.M.S. by the 30th of May 2015.
Please note that your housing inspection is only valid for 12 months from the date of inspection. If your housing has expired, please call the health unit to inspect as soon as possible.
Employers MUST submit their LMIA Applications a minimum of 12 to 14 weeks prior to the requested arrival dates. Please be reminded that processing times are much longer now due to new procedures at Service Canada and at the High Commissions abroad.
It is important that your application is completed entirely, signed and witnessed where necessary. Service Canada will NOT approve an application until the immigration cost recovery visa fee is paid.
Your cooperation in meeting these deadline requirements will be of great assistance in fulfilling your labour request
